Attitude of Gratitude

I am very humbled that Linda nominated me for this award. Trying to maintain an attitude of gratitude is something that I strive for and feel like I often times miss the mark, so it is encouraging to me to receive this award. I was thinking about this last week because as many of you know, I work with visually impaired people. One of our students has been so inspirational to me this class. Despite having many challenges, she always manages to be upbeat and positive, never complaining. So I decided I wanted to be more like that, counting my blessings instead of my troubles. It didn't help that the day I decided to do that was a truly annoying day with things going wrong right and left. Actually though it was perfect, because it made me have to conciously think about my attitude and make the choice to be grateful rather than get upset. It actually made me laugh! I thank my husband for his attitude of gratitude and his willingness to help people. He volunteered to help out at the community center delivering meals on wheels and now I am doing it too! He does so many other things anonymously to help people and he makes me proud. I am grateful to have a husband who is so caring and patient with me when I need a good kick in the pants!!! So here are the rules of this award:
