Homeward Bound...

Yep...the time has come for grandma and Pop to return back to reality and let the new family be.  Early in the morning we head back to Heathrow for our flight back home.  It will be sad to be so far away as our little man blossoms, but I know he has the greatest parents in the world, so no worries. After I recover from jet lag and get everything at home back on keel, I plan to start on the Hepburn/Hepburn project in earnest.  I have some core fabrics picked out and a rough idea of what I want to make.  More on that later...parting shot...a picture of me and the little prince chilling on the couch:

As you have just found out, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, like holding your grandchild. I hope you get many opportunities to hold him again and again.

Hi Mary. Congratulations on your grandbaby. I know you will miss him once you head home but think of all of the sewing opportunity he will provide! Thanks for visiting my blog. I have really enjoyed looking through your previous posts. Thanks for all of the inspiration you share.

Hi Mary,

I'm so happy you have been having a good time with your grandchild. Me too! I have the sweetest little new grandson August. He was in the hospital for a few days with breathing issues but is fine now.

I'm so glad you like my scone recipe. It IS fabulous! Oh my..

BTW, I'm sewing again too! I'm working on a banner for a ministry. It's tapestry fabrics and a scrappy crazy quilt foundation pieced heart. Plus, I just did an awesome strip pieced border and appliqued the edge to look like it was cut by giant scrapbook scissors (to match the name tags for the ministry.) I'll be posting about that sometime this weekend.

It's so nice to be sewing again isn't it?
