Survivor
I survived a 16 hour shift yesterday! I didn't have much left afterwards...really only enough to feed Kodi and the cat and schlump off to bed, but I did manage to pull some fabric for the wrap dress I plan to start today. Tom is working a double too this weekend, but a double in his profession is 48 hours, so my 16 hours seems pretty lame...except that I go back tomorrow for another 16!!! I think I will be gentle with myself and do primarily what moves me (sew) and only the necessary chores. Here's hoping for straight grains and true seams!!!

Oh! I feel for you. I'd be exhausted too. My hubby's normal work day is 10 hours, but there have been many a day that he ends up having to work a 16. He comes home exhausted especially after doing that for a few days in a row.
Wow! That sure is a long shift!! I'm at that time of year when I rarely get to sleep in even one day/week. Today, DH and I got luck with a major Northeast snowstorm. He's working from home and the kids have off school. SO nice to sleep in a couple extra hours. In fact, 3 of my 4 kids are still in bed and it's 9:15 a.m.! I'm not going to wake them LOL.
